Thai Electricity Generating Association
)
Since the Engineering Institute of Thailand under Royal Patronage has appointed the Subcommittee on Generator Standards on April 30, 2012 to create the standard for design and installation of generators, which took 2-3 years to create the standard. The Subcommittee meets every month and has the same opinion that there should be a Generator Club to be a center for designers, supervisors, vendors, installers, as well as those working with generator systems and those interested in general, to develop careers related to generator systems in terms of laws, standards, experience, modern technology, and others. Therefore, a meeting to establish the club was held on July 1, 2014 , inviting representatives from vendors, designers, supervisors, and academics from universities to attend the meeting at the association meeting room on the 3rd floor of the Engineering Institute of Thailand Building. The resolution was to establish the Generator Club, with Mr. Thawat Meechai as the club president. Later, the club was upgraded to the Thai Electric Generator Association on July 7, 2015 , with Mr. Thawat Meechai as the founder and first president of the association (2015 - 2018). It has people working in the electric generator system and those interested in becoming members.
