Yongse Kwon
Yongse Kwon is a Principal Researcher at the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI). As a nuclear engineering specialist, he received his Master's degree and completed his Ph.D. coursework in Nuclear Engineering from Seoul National University and possesses over 17 years of extensive experience in PWR-based SMR and research reactor system integration and technical management.
Currently, he is seconded to the Innovative SMR Development Agency, where he is in charge of international cooperation for SMR technology. Throughout his career, he has held key leadership roles, including Project Manager and Head of the Project Management Department for the Maritime NPP Onshore Demonstration Project, as well as Assistant Project Manager for the JRTR Construction Project. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the nuclear energy sector, he was honored with a Minister's Award in December 2014.
