Warit Rattanachuen
Mr. Warit Rattanachuen is Deputy Governor - Strategy at the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), a state enterprise under the Ministry of Energy responsible for electricity generation, transmission, and wholesale electricity supply. He oversees corporate strategy, power system planning, business development, and strategic communications to support Thailand’s energy transition and long-term power sector development.
Mr. Warit plays a key role in shaping investment priorities for power infrastructure, renewable energy integration, electricity market development, and regional energy cooperation. He has been actively advancing clean energy initiatives, including Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), green electricity procurement mechanisms, and innovative solutions that promote sustainability and energy efficiency across industrial and digital sectors.
His current focus includes developing future-ready power systems to support growing demand from AI-driven industries and data centers, strengthening regional power connectivity across ASEAN, and fostering innovation, stakeholder engagement, and public relations initiatives that enable sustainable economic growth, energy resilience, and long-term value creation.
