Varanont Kitcharoen
Varanont Kitcharoen is the Director of Electrical Maintenance Division at Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT). With over three decades of experience in electrical equipment maintenance in all types of power plants, his expertise spans generators, motors, protection systems, electrical testing and maintenance planning.
Throughout his employment, he played a key role in implementing predictive maintenance systems to assess and improve asset performance. Additionally, he also provided technical recommendations for operational improvements within EGAT and other organisations. These were on top of his contributions to the development of EGAT’s EAM and Diagnostic Systems for asset management and O&M services.
In addition to his current role, he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from King Mongkut Institute of Technology and completed advanced training in Plant Maintenance Management at JICA.
