Toshiro Kudama
Toshiro Kudama is the Head of Asia Pacific Operations at JERA Co., where he oversees the company’s strategic direction and partnership development across the Asia Pacific region.
A veteran in the global energy industry, Mr. Kudama previously led Tokyo Electric Power Co., Inc. (TEPCO)’s overseas business for decades and was actively involved in key international energy organizations including the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the International Energy Agency (IEA).
He joined JERA in 2016 as the Chief Power Development Officer and Senior Executive Vice President overseeing major global energy initiatives in offshore wind power, LNG liquefaction, and advanced energy storage technologies before assuming the role of CEO of JERA Americas.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Kudama has directed investments in more than 30 energy projects across 14 countries, totalling US$3 billion. His deep technical knowledge and strategic acumen have positioned him as a respected leader in the industry.
Mr. Kudama holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Graduate School of Tokyo Institute of Technology and received the Outstanding Paper Award from the Japan Precision Engineering Academy
