Tim Anderson
Tim Anderson is the Regional President, Southeast Asia at Acwa. A New Zealand national with more than 30 years of executive leadership across the private and public sectors, Tim has built and led businesses in renewable energy, infrastructure, transport and trade, with much of that career spent in and around Indonesia.
He joined Acwa as Country CEO, Indonesia, before assuming his current role with responsibility for the company's Southeast Asian portfolio.
Prior to Acwa, Tim was Group CEO of Hutec Engineering Group, an integrated engineering services, O&M and manufacturing business in New Zealand. He previously served as Managing Director and CEO of PT SunCable Indonesia, leading Indonesian operations for the USD 32 billion AAPowerLink project, and as Managing Director and CEO of PT Jacobs Group Indonesia, where he grew revenue by more than 50 percent across renewable energy, transport and infrastructure. From 2012 to 2017 he was New Zealand's Trade Commissioner to Indonesia, based at the New Zealand Embassy in Jakarta.
Tim chairs the Indonesia New Zealand Business Council. He holds an LLB and a BCom from the University of Canterbury and is a qualified barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand, having practised law for eight years before moving into executive roles. Tim speaks fluent Bahasa Indonesia.
