Thana Boonyasirikul
Mr. Thana Boonyasirikul currently serves as the Chief Asset Management Officer at RATCH Group Public Company Limited, where he is responsible for planning and managing the company’s power plant projects and those of its affiliates to ensure strategic alignment and maximize investment returns. With extensive expertise in project analysis, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and power plant technologies, he has played a pivotal role in enhancing project efficiency, guiding investment decisions, and contributing to Thailand’s long-term energy security.
Mr. Boonyasirikul has a proven track record in both domestic and international energy markets. He previously served as Executive Vice President at RATCH Group, where he was seconded as Managing Director of Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Company Limited (2020–2021), overseeing a 3,600 MW power plant portfolio across thermal and combined heat and power facilities. Earlier, he was Executive Vice President – Power Business at RATCH Group (2017–2018) and concurrently Managing Director of RATCH-Australia Corporation Pty Ltd, where he managed a diverse 1.2 GW portfolio of thermal and renewable energy projects while spearheading new renewable initiatives to support the company’s sustainability strategy.
A strong advocate for innovation and risk management in the energy sector, Mr. Boonyasirikul possesses in-depth expertise in investment-related technical aspects and addressing future uncertainties in a rapidly evolving power landscape.
He holds a Doctor of Engineering in Water Resources Development and a Master of Engineering in Water Resources Engineering, both from the Asian Institute of Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering in Irrigation Engineering (First Class Honours) from Kasetsart University.
Mr. Boonyasirikul has also completed several executive development programs, including the Director Certification Program (DCP 330/2022) by the Thai Institute of Directors Association, Thailand’s Future Energy Leader Program, and specialized training in mergers & acquisitions, environmental governance, financial strategy, and risk and crisis communications.
