Syed Khalid Mukhtar
Khalid Mukhtar is the CEO of Global Academic Partners.
A banker turned entrepreneur, Khalid started working as an IT professional for Citibank in Saudi Arabia and worked for Citibank in Greece, Belgium, France, Gabon and the UK. In his last appointment, Khalid worked for Citibank’s World Wide Securities Service (WWSS) based in London and supported the Securities Custody business for Citibank branches in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He worked in Audit, Data Centre Management and Ops & Technology areas of the bank.
Khalid started a product-based IT company based in the UK that specialised in the Securities Custody & Settlements systems. The company & its products had made a name for themselves and served Custodian banks in a dozen countries. Khalid was inducted into the Global Custody Hall of Fame for his outstanding contributions to the securities services industry.
Khalid has a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the University of Roehampton in the UK. He has also attended several Management & Leadership courses at MIT, Sloan School of Management, the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford, and Harvard Business School, to name a few.
