Sutchai Jongpipitaporn
Mr. Sutchai Jongpipitaporn is a seasoned expert in electrical engineering, industrial automation, and advanced energy storage technologies, with over four decades of experience spanning academia, industry, and entrepreneurship. He began his career in 1985 as a lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) before moving into the private sector with Petro Instruments Co. Ltd., where he supported in PLC and SCADA systems.
In 1992, he established the Thailand representative office for CEI Ltd. (a part of Singapore Technologies, now under the Temasek Group), expanding international technology ventures into Thailand. From 1994 to 2008, and again from 2014 to 2017, he served as General Manager of Temptech Co. Ltd., leading operations, business development, and technology expansions. Between 2010 and 2013, he conducted advanced research in high-precision mechatronics systems, achieving micrometer-level accuracy.
Since 2017, Mr. Sutchai has been the Managing Director of Metene Siam Co. Ltd., a company dedicated to innovative and sustainable energy solutions. Under his leadership, the company focuses on vanadium redox flow batteries (VRFB) for energy storage, as well as solar and wind power systems for on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid applications.
