Sugeng Hidayat
Sugeng Hidayat actively contributes to the transformation of Indonesia's electricity distribution system, helping it become smarter, more resilient, and better prepared to support the integration of new and renewable energy.
As a professional at PT PLN (Persero), Sugeng Hidayat has 20 years of experience in power system planning and operations. He is currently active in the Strategic Planning and Distribution Asset Management Division, where his work focuses on distribution network modernization, system reliability enhancement, and the integration of new and renewable energy, smart grid technologies, and Distributed Energy Resources (DER).
Sugeng is also pursuing doctoral studies at the Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), with research focusing on the development of a Multidimensional Readiness Index to assess the maturity of smart grid implementation in electricity distribution systems in archipelagic countries. Through his professional and academic roles, he is expected to contribute to the development of practical strategies to accelerate the clean energy transition and build a more sustainable electricity system for Indonesia.
