Saravanan Desigamanie
Saravanan Desigamanie currently serves as the Head of Group Sustainability at KPJ Healthcare Berhad, Malaysia’s largest private healthcare provider. In this role, he spearheads the Group’s decarbonisation efforts and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategies, ensuring the seamless integration of ESG considerations into the company’s overall strategy.
With two decades of extensive experience in sustainability, strategy, investor relations, and corporate communications, Saravanan brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. He holds a Master of Business Administration (Finance) and a Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) in Software Engineering, both from Multimedia University, Malaysia. Additionally, he has earned a Certificate in Investor Relations (CIR®) from the IR Society of the UK.
As a seasoned sustainability professional and strategist, Saravanan has an impressive track record in corporate management, analytical execution, and strategic communication. He has excelled in the power generation sector, where he established a comprehensive Sustainability Framework and led the execution of an ESG Roadmap, which was instrumental in advancing the energy transition. His strategic ESG communication efforts in the plantation industry significantly increased both global and domestic fund ownership.
