Sara Supaamornkul
As Senior Director of Business Development for the Asia-Pacific region at Candu Energy Inc, AtkinsRéalis, Dr. Sara Supaamornkul is responsible for overseeing business opportunities and product development in this region.
Sara has over 20 years of experience in the Canadian nuclear industry. Her award-winning research on solving flow-accelerated corrosion in primary circuit piping has made significant strides in the industry. She then joined Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. (AECL) as a Safety Analyst, contributing to the design of the Advanced CANDU® reactor.
Sara later helped establish a technology fund for a national oil and gas company and served as an ad-hoc advisor to the Minister of Energy in Thailand. She also co-founded an investment consultancy firm and was recruited as Chief of Staff for a food-tech start-up before returning to the nuclear industry.
Sara earned her bachelor’s degree in chemical technology from Chulalongkorn University and holds a master’s and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick.
