Sahana is a Lead Data Scientist at Bidgely Technologies, with over six years of experience building AI/ML solutions for the energy sector. Her work centers on Distributed Energy Resource (DER) analytics — turning Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) data into actionable forecasts and recommendations for solar, battery, and EV charging behavior at the grid edge. Building on a foundation in Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring (NILM) and energy disaggregation, she has designed forecasting and battery dispatch recommendation systems that help utilities anticipate and manage distributed load, and has contributed to a patent on behind-the-meter battery identification using generalized ensemble ML architectures. She has helped move several of these systems from research into production within Bidgely's DER analytics platform. Sahana holds a B.Tech. in Computer Science from IIIT Dharwad and is focused on applied AI for smarter, more resilient energy systems.
