Pramoon Thoykratok
Pramoon Thoykratok is a seasoned power plant engineer with over 25 years of experience, currently serving as Senior Engineer at Wang Noi Power Plant (EGAT). He coordinates with the National Control Center (NCC) on PPA compliance and operational planning, and works with OEMs to optimize plant efficiency, availability, and heat rate. His previous roles include leading outage coordination, electrical maintenance, and plant operations for Mitsubishi (686 MW) and Siemens (750 MW) blocks. He also contributed to the WN-C4 Hydrogen Co-Firing Project feasibility study.
Previously, Pramoon Thoykratok led Shift 3 operations at Wang Noi for both Mitsubishi (686 MW) and Siemens (750 MW) blocks, managing real-time operations and supervising an 8+ person team. Earlier, as Head of the Electrical Maintenance Section, he oversaw high-voltage systems, protection relays, and power distribution equipment for over 2,000 MW of combined-cycle capacity. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Khon Kaen University (1997) and has completed additional technical training and certifications supporting his ongoing contributions to Thailand’s national power infrastructure.
