Parlindungan Sihombing
Parlindungan Sihombing, MEngSc, is the Vice President of Primary Energy and Power Generation Risk in the Operation Risk Management Division at PLN. With over two decades of experience in power generation, transmission, and system operations, he has held leadership roles across various PLN divisions, including the Certification Center (PUSERTIF), West Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, and Minahasa sectors. He began his career managing the Lahendong Geothermal Power Plant before progressing into senior planning and system management roles. In 2010, he earned a Master of Renewable Energy and Electrical Power Systems from Curtin University of Technology, Western Australia. In his current role, Parlindungan is responsible for risk management related to primary energy supplies—coal, natural gas, LNG, biodiesel, fuel oil, and biomass—as well as the power generation process. Serving as a second line of defense, he coordinates with Business Process Owners on risk assessments, recommends mitigation strategies, identifies emerging risks, and oversees evaluation, monitoring, and early warning systems to strengthen PLN’s operational resilience.
