Pakawee Silpanon
Pakawee Silpanon is currently the Chief of the Greenhouse Gas Management Department at the Project Environment Division of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT). With over two decades of experience, Pakawee is a seasoned expert in greenhouse gas management, GHG inventory development, and the evolving carbon market and renewable energy certificate landscape.
He began his career at EGAT in 2001 as a scientist, working on environmental impact assessments and site selection for power plants. From 2015 to 2024, they led the Greenhouse Gas Management Section, before assuming their current leadership role in 2024. Pakawee holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering Management from the University of Technology, Sydney, and a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Technology from Chulalongkorn University.
Pakawee is also certified in ISO/IEC 17029 and ISO 14065 for validation and verification bodies and internal auditing, as well as Carbon Footprint auditing for organizations—both accredited by leading Thai environmental institutions.
