Nicolas Schmitt
Based in Hong Kong, Dr. Nicolas brings over 20 years of expertise in data communication, IoT, and energy efficiency. He currently leads architecture and systems teams at Landis+Gyr, delivering advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) solutions including analytics across Southeast Asia. With a rare blend of technical and commercial acumen, he plays a key role in shaping smart metering services to include new technologies to deliver end to end solutions for a decarbonized grid. His prior roles include leading Asia Pacific applications at Avago Technologies and holding senior positions at Agilent Technologies and Hewlett Packard. Dr. Nicolas holds a degree in Instrumentation from the University of Rouen (France), a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Applied Physics and a Doctorate in Applied Physics from Liverpool John Moores University (United Kingdom) for his research on UV induced grating structures on polymer optical fibres using high power lasers.
