Nguyen Tuan Khai
Assoc Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khai has served as Vice President of Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute (VinAtom) since 1 July 2025. His area of expertise is nuclear physics.
Before joining VinAtom, he served as Director General of the Vietnam Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety (VARANS) for nearly 9 years, from November 2016 to June 2025.
Mr. Khai received his PhD in Nuclear Physics in 2006 from Institute of Physical and Chemical Research RIKEN, Japan, and then Post-doc Fellow at Research Center for Nuclear Physics (RCNP), Osaka University in 2008.
He has spent many years conducting research in experimental nuclear physics using heavy-ion beams at the Institute of Nuclear Physics (IPN) Orsay, France; Institute of Research into the Fundamental Laws of the Universe (IRFU), France.
He has also served as an invited lecturer at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Hanoi University of Natural Science, and the Nuclear Training Center of VinAtom.
