Mr Myung-kyu Kim is an information and communications technology professional at Korea South-East Power Co., Ltd. (KOEN), where he has worked since January 2007. Throughout his career, he has gained extensive experience in electrical systems, information and communications technology, cybersecurity and digital transformation across several KOEN business units. He began at the Electrical Department of the Yeongdong Eco Power Division before joining the Information and Communication Team at the Samcheonpo Power Division and the ICT Security Team at the Yeongheung Power Division. He later joined the Digital Transformation Team within the Digital Convergence Department. Mr Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Information and Communication Engineering from Soongsil University and a master’s degree in Cybersecurity from Korea University. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Management Information Systems at Gyeongsang National University. In 2011, he received the POWER-GEN Asia Best Paper Award within Track 4, covering Operation, Optimization and Servicing.
