Muhammad Syafiq bin Mazli, Ts. is the Manager of Long-Term Load Forecasting at Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), Malaysia, with over nine years of experience in electricity demand forecasting, power system planning, and energy market analysis. He specializes in developing advanced forecasting methodologies that integrate statistical, econometric, and machine learning techniques to support generation and transmission planning, resource adequacy, and grid resilience. Throughout his career, he has led and contributed to numerous initiatives to enhance demand forecasting accuracy, including the incorporation of macroeconomic indicators, emerging technologies, weather impacts, renewable energy adoption, and electric vehicle penetration into forecasting models.
