Kamia Handayani
Kamia Handayani is a leading expert in energy and climate change, currently serving as Executive Vice President of Energy Transition and Sustainability at Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), Indonesia's state-owned electricity company. Since 2022, she has overseen the development and execution of PLN's energy transition strategy, integrating ESG principles, managing climate risks, and promoting stakeholder engagement. She also leads regional collaboration as head of the HAPUA Working Group on Policy Studies and Commercial Development. Nationally, Kamia plays key roles in advancing carbon markets and emission reduction policies through her positions at METI and MKI. With a Ph.D. from the University of Twente, she has contributed extensively to academic and policy dialogue, publishing in top journals and participating in international initiatives, including the IPCC AR6 review and ASEAN energy projects. Her work bridges corporate leadership, policy development, and academic insight to drive Indonesia's clean energy transition.
