As Chief Executive Officer of Banpu Power PCL (BPP) since April 2024, Mr. Issara Niropas leads the company’s mission to deliver sustainable, reliable energy across the Asia-Pacific region. With a presence in 8 countries and a growing portfolio spanning thermal and renewable energy, BPP continues to expand under his strategic direction. Backed by over 30 years of experience with Banpu Group, including key roles in engineering, operations, and asset management, he has contributed to major milestones such as the Tri Energy and BLCP power plants, and previously held senior leadership roles at BPP that shaped its long-term success.

A forward-thinking leader, Mr. Issara combines broad experience in the energy industry with a strong commitment to making a positive impact for people and society. He believes people are key to navigating opportunities and challenges across BPP’s multi-country operations, and actively fosters collaboration across diverse teams. In 2024, he received the Top Senior CEO Award in the Resources Category at the CEO ECONMASS Awards, which recognize outstanding leaders driving business success and enhancing global competitiveness.

In April 2024, Issara was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Banpu Power Public Company Limited, a flagship company of Banpu Group that operates electricity generation businesses in 8 countries in the Asia Pacific region.

Issara graduated with a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Industrial and Mechanical Technology from Phranakhon Rajabhat University and a Master of Business Administration in Management from Ramkhamhaeng University.
