Imam Makhfud, born in Surabaya in 1978, is an electrical engineering professional at PLN. He earned his bachelor's degree from ITS Surabaya and a Master of Science from RWTH Aachen, Germany, focusing on power transformer condition assessment. Throughout his career, he has specialized in maintaining high-voltage substation equipment and led the standardization working group for power transformer online monitoring to advance unmanned substation strategies. Currently, he serves as PLN's Vice President of Transmission Planning Strategy and Asset Management. In this capacity, he oversees the planning of new substations and transmission lines while managing critical infrastructure assets.
