Claysius Widjaja
Claysius Widjaja received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Power Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia, in 2020, and his M.Sc. degree in Offshore Renewable Energy, specialising in power electronics and control, from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway, in 2022. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering at the Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT), Australia.
Claysius is a Senior Power Systems R&D Engineer with Reactive Technologies in London, U.K. Prior to joining Reactive Technologies, he worked as a Power Systems Engineer with National Grid Electricity Transmission in the U.K. and as a Power System Consultant with Quadran Energi Rekayasa in Indonesia.
His research focuses on power-system stability and system-strength assessment in converter-dominated networks, particularly impedance-based stability analysis, grid-forming and grid-following converters, electromagnetic-transient simulation, and measurement-based system assessment. He is a Member of IEEE and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), a member of the CIGRE Next Generation Network, and a member of the CIGRE UK Shadow Group for Joint Working Group C4/B4.82, Impedance-based Stability Assessment of Modern Power Systems
