Chung Keng Yeow
Chung Keng Yeow is the Director of Singapore Nuclear Research and Safety Institute (SNRSI).
He obtained his PhD degree from Stanford University in Applied Physics under the supervision of Nobel laureate Professor Steven Chu. He served as the Deputy Head of NUS Physics Department prior to joining SNRSI in 2014. During his initial years at SNRSI, he led the Nuclear Safety Analysis Team to study the severe accidents in nuclear power reactors. Since taking over as the director of the institute in 2018, he spent most of his time overseeing various research projects.
At the international level, he serves as a member of the Steering Committee of the International Nuclear Science and Technology Academy (INSTA) set up by IAEA to promote education in Nuclear Science and Technology at the tertiary level.
