Chi Hsing Wu
Chi Hsing Wu is affiliated with TaiScience at Fu Jen Catholic University, where he conducts interdisciplinary research in power systems, data science, and scientific machine learning. His recent research focuses on early-warning analysis and data-driven assessment of power-system stability, with particular interest in Critical Slowing Down (CSD) indicators.
His previous work includes the arXiv preprint TokaMind for Power Grid: Cross-Domain Transfer from Fusion Plasma, which investigates the transfer of a foundation model originally developed for fusion-plasma diagnostics to power-grid PMU event classification. In that work, CSD indicators were incorporated as a confidence gate to improve early-warning classification.
At ICT-PEP 2026, he will present Structural and Spectral Criticality Observables for Topology-Free Power System Stability Assessment, extending this line of research toward complementary structural and spectral indicators for assessing trajectories near power-system stability boundaries.
