Charuwan Phipatana-Phuttapanta

Scientist (Senior Professional Level) Solar Energy Development Division, Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE)

Charuwan Phipatana-Phuttapanta is a senior professional scientist, currently serves as the Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Group, Solar Energy Development Division, Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE), Thailand, where she has been contributing since 2019. 

Her career with DEDE spans over 15 years, beginning as a Professional Policy and Plan Analyst in the Planning Division from 2008–2016, followed by her appointment as Professional Scientist in the Solar Energy Development Division from 2016–2019, before advancing to her current senior professional role. Through these positions, she has played a key role in developing energy strategies, policies, and planning.  

Charuwan holds a Master of Science in Energy Technology and Management from Chulalongkorn University (2018), a Master of Economics in Business Economics from the National Institute of Development Administration, in 2007, and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Kasetsart University, 1999. 

She has also undertaken extensive professional training and leadership programs, including the Executive Energy Management Program, 2023, the Government Strategic Human Resource Development Scholarship in , and the New Wave Leader Development Program (2021) under the Office of the Civil Service Commission. Earlier, she was awarded the High-Performance and Potential System (HiPPS) scholarship (2016), as well as international training opportunities such as the JENESYS Programme in Japan (2011) and short-term overseas training scholarships supported by the Energy Conservation Promotion Fund in 2014.
