Bilal Aslam
Bilal Aslam is IFC's Infrastructure Lead for Indonesia and Timor-Leste, based in Jakarta. He leads IFC's infrastructure investments in the country, with a focus on logistics — shipping, toll roads, and ports — as well as data centres and telecommunications towers. He also continues to advance energy transition financing in partnership with government and industry.
Previously, Bilal led IFC's Infrastructure business across Papua New Guinea, the Pacific Islands, and Timor-Leste from Sydney, where he built a significant investment and advisory platform from the ground up. He began his career in infrastructure finance across the Middle East and North Africa.
Bilal specialises in project development, deal origination, and the structuring of debt and structured finance solutions for complex, emerging-market infrastructure transactions, with over 18 years of experience in the sector.
Bilal holds an MBA from Manchester Business School, UK, and is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA).
