Assaf Biderman
Assaf is a tech executive and entrepreneur, currently serving as Chief AI and Corporate Development Officer at Kraken Technologies, where he leads AI strategy and growth initiatives. Kraken delivers an AI-powered, end-to-end software platform that enables utilities worldwide to accelerate and reduce the cost of their transition to renewable energy.
He is also the Co-Founder and Co-Director of the MIT Senseable City Lab, established in 2003, which pioneers research at the intersection of AI, data science, and urban systems—focusing on critical challenges in energy, mobility, and infrastructure.
Prior to Kraken, Assaf co-founded and scaled three international ventures in demand forecasting, electric transportation, and robotics. With a background in physics, he holds over 150 patents and scientific publications and has received multiple international honors, including the Red Dot Luminary, TIME Magazine, Thomas Edison, and James Dyson awards.
