Completed undergraduate studies in 1982 at Chemical Engineering, Diponegoro University; completed his graduate and doctoral studies in Energy at the "National Polytechnic Institute de Lorraine - Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Industrie Chimiques", Nancy, France, in 1992. Started his career in the energy world since 1982 at the National Nuclear Energy Agency (BATAN), and he became Head of Nuclear Energy Development Center in 2002-2007. In 1993-2015, he became non-permanent lecturers at Jayabaya University, Darma Persada University and the Pertahanan University. In 2007-2015, he worked in a national private company as Head of the Technology Development Division at PT. Medco Power Indonesia, a subsidiary of PT. Medco Energi Indonesia; which expands the energy and electricity business based on new and renewable energy, including nuclear energy. Apart from formal work, he is also active in social institutions; became Deputy Chairman of the Energy Sector, Indonesian Engineers Association (PII) in 2008-2016; Chairman of the Indonesian Nuclear Society Association (HIMNI) in 2015-2018; Chairman of the Energy Commission, National Research Council (DRN) in 2012-2018, and Permanent Commission for Research and Development, Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) in 2015-2021. Currently still active as a Member of the Indonesian Electricity Society (MKI) Expert Council; Founder and Chairman of the Indonesian New Nuclear Energy Society (MEBNI); and Advisor/Reviewer in several National energy/electricity projects.
