Andang Bachtiar
Dr. Ir. Andang Bachtiar, M.Sc. is a distinguished geologist, oil and gas exploration expert, and energy policy specialist with over four decades of experience spanning the energy industry, academia, and national policy development. He holds degrees from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Indonesia, and the Colorado School of Mines, USA.
He currently serves as Secretary General of ADPMET Indonesia and Lecturer at the Department of Geology, Diponegoro University. He is also an Advisory Board Member for the Master's and Doctoral Programmes in Geological Engineering at ITB, as well as a Supervisory Board Member of the Indonesian Association of Geologists (IAGI).
Previously, Dr. Bachtiar served as a Member of the National Energy Council (DEN), Chairman of the National Exploration Committee, Exploration Director of Maurel & Prom, and Senior Advisor to the President Director of Pertamina International E&P.
His areas of expertise include energy policy, oil and gas exploration, petroleum geology, sedimentology, stratigraphy, and oil and gas block valuation. Throughout his career, he has authored more than 50 scientific and professional publications.
