Ahmad Amiruddin
A seasoned professional with more than two decades of experience in the fields of electricity, energy, engineering, technical inspection, and project management. Currently serving as Director of Electricity Program Development, with primary responsibility for leading national electricity program planning and development. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring sustainable electricity supply through strategic planning, program implementation, stakeholder coordination, and the development of innovative policy and regulatory frameworks.
From 2009 to 2024, he served as an Electricity Inspector, where he was responsible for conducting electricity inspections and ensuring compliance with national regulations, safety standards, and technical requirements. His responsibilities included evaluating electrical installations, investigating electrical incidents, reviewing technical documentation, preparing inspection reports, and providing technical recommendations to improve the safety, reliability, and quality of electrical installations.
From 2007 to 2009, he served as Site Manager at PT Siemens Indonesia, Energy Division. In this position, he managed power generation projects from the planning and commissioning stages, ensuring compliance with safety requirements, project schedules, and budgets. He also coordinated multidisciplinary teams, supervised project execution, monitored project progress, and maintained effective communication with clients and stakeholders. Earlier in his career, from 2004 to 2007, he worked as a Technical Engineer/Supervisor at PT LG Philips Displays Indonesia. His responsibilities included providing technical supervision for manufacturing operations and production equipment, ensuring reliable, efficient, and safe production processes. He was also involved in maintenance planning, troubleshooting production issues, supervising technicians, optimizing manufacturing processes, and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
With extensive experience in electricity systems, technical inspection, energy program development, project management, manufacturing, and technical supervision, he possesses strong competencies in strategic planning, project oversight, regulatory compliance, safety standards, cross-functional coordination, and the development of technical and energy policy solutions.
