Abhishek Ranjan
Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL), a joint venture of Reliance Infrastructure and the Government of NCT of Delhi, he is leading BRPL’s transformation into a Distribution System Operator. He spearheads grid modernization, digital innovation, operational excellence, renewable-energy integration, demand flexibility, energy efficiency, electric-mobility infrastructure, distributed energy resources, and grid-scale battery storage. He has successfully managed power procurement for a peak demand of approximately 3,809 MW and transitioned nearly 50% of BRPL’s contracted capacity to renewable sources, while advancing reliability, sustainability, inclusivity, and ESG objectives. Previously, served as Senior Vice President–Strategy at ReNew Power and Lead Partner–Energy Transition and Decarbonisation at EY-Parthenon. My national engagements include membership of the Ministry of Power’s India Energy Stack Task Force, DST’s Evolution Programme Advisory Committee, SARAL 1.0 Steering Committee, and AEEE. I also convenes DST’s subgroup on light electric-vehicle AC charging infrastructure and related standards.
