Abdul Malik Sadat Idris
Abdul Malik Sadat Idris is currently the Deputy Minister for Infrastructure Affairs of the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency, Indonesia, where he supports the agency in developing national policies and plans for infrastructure development in Indonesia.
Holding a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology and a Master of Civil Engineering majoring in Coastal Engineering Lab from the University of Tokyo, Idris has over 15 years experiences working in water resources management, 3 years experiences in regional development and more than 7 years experiences in defense and security affairs.
He also seeks innovative financing and management approaches for the water sector, particularly in encouraging private sector involvement in the management of multipurpose dams, water supply, and flood risk management. Additionally, he focuses on energy transition and transportation connectivity. He believes that blended financing and robust infrastructure data are among the key solutions to support the success of the national development agenda.
