Magaldi pioneered the energy sector over 40 years ago by developing dry bottom ash conveyor systems that operate without any water and produce dry, low-carbon ash that can be repurposed instead of discarded. The MAC® (Magaldi Ash Cooler) system is a patented solution for the dry extraction, air cooling, and mechanical handling of bottom ash from pulverized coal-fired boilers. The MAR® (Magaldi Ash Recycling) system builds on the MAC® by recycling dry bottom ash (and ECO ash, if desired), reinjecting it into the boiler through coal pulverizers to convert it into fly ash, thereby enhancing efficiency and sustainability.
