Gas Turbine Combined Cycle (GTCC) Power Plants
Mitsubishi Power’s GTCC power plants are designed to deliver cleaner and more efficient power generation using natural gas. Our system includes a waste heat recovery cycle where exhaust gas from the main gas turbine is used for additional electricity generation through steam power. Key features of our GTCC power plants include:
- High Efficiency: World’s highest efficiency of more than 64% and over 20% more efficient than conventional coal-fired power plants
- Decarbonization: 65% less carbon emissions compared to coal-fired power plants
- Reduced Emissions of Other Pollutants: Smaller quantities of nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur oxides (SOx) and high-temperature wastewater discharged
