As environmental standards become more stringent, Air Quality Control Systems (AQCS) become more important for the continued operability and compliance of power systems. Today, Mitsubishi Power offers a comprehensive suite of AQCS solutions, including:
- Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) Systems: Removes nitrous oxides (NOx) from flue gas emitted by power plant boilers and other combustion sources
- Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) Plants: Removes sulfur dioxide (SO2) from flue gas produced by boilers, furnaces and other sources using wet limestone-gypsum and seawater processes
- Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP): Collects dust from flue gas by applying a high voltage on a discharge electrode causing particulate accumulation on a collecting electrode
