Reliable, safe and sustainable power infrastructure is becoming a decisive factor for Asia’s energy transition. TMC Transformers supports this evolution with dry-type transformer technology developed for demanding industrial, commercial and utility applications. Unlike traditional oil-filled units, dry-type transformers use air as their main insulation and cooling medium, reducing fire risk, eliminating oil leakage concerns and simplifying maintenance across the operating life. TMC has continued to invest in R&D, production capacity, advanced design tools and skilled people, strengthening a portfolio that serves data centres, renewable generation, hydrogen, e-mobility, battery storage, building infrastructure and power distribution.
This focus is particularly relevant in APAC, where electricity demand, industrial development and digitalisation are accelerating the need for reliable and efficient grid equipment. Thailand is one of the most dynamic markets: industrialisation, construction growth and renewable-energy targets are expected to drive sustained transformer demand, while local customers increasingly look for advanced solutions, responsive service and shorter supply chains. TMC has already built a strong position in the region, with orders and sales growing significantly since 2021 and with a Singapore entity dedicated to overseeing the APAC market.
A major step in this regional strategy is QTMC – QTC & TMC Joint Venture, officially launched by TMC Transformers SpA and QTC Energy Public Company Limited. The new company combines TMC’s expertise in dry-type transformers with QTC’s long-standing presence and market knowledge in Thailand and Asia Pacific. Through QTMC, customers can access a broader and more competitive portfolio, supported by local proximity, technical competence and after-sales responsiveness.
The joint venture also reflects a shared commitment to long-term value creation. For utilities, developers, OEMs and industrial operators across East Asia, it means closer access to tailored engineering and solutions aligned with safety, reliability and sustainability priorities. As APAC continues to shape global growth, TMC aims to expand its commercial reach, strengthen partnerships and contribute to a wider “World of Transformers” with technology designed for the energy systems of the future.
