Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) co-hosted the Enlit Asia Conference and Exhibition 2025 (Enlit Asia), uniting power industry leaders and innovators across the region to foster a cooperative drive toward ASEAN’s future of sustainable and secure energy, at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre.
Mr. Tawatchai Sumranwanich, EGAT Deputy Governor – Strategy, revealed that the Enlit Asia was a pivotal platform showcasing and exchanging energy visions and innovations, leading to collaborations to define ASEAN’s future of energy. With the concept, “Advancing a Realistic Energy Transition in ASEAN,” the event emphasized the energy transition that must be carried out in a balanced and comprehensive manner; ensuring security, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. As a Thai leading power utility, EGAT is determined to accelerate the clean energy and low-carbon transition. EGAT also cooperates with partners to exchange knowledge and put it into practice for a concrete result.

In the event, EGAT showcased its mission to drive energy transition and Carbon Neutrality through the exhibition under the concept “Power the Realistic Transition: Secure the World, Suitable for Everyone,” divided into 3 zones. Zone 1 “Advanced Technologies for Realistic Energy Transition” highlighted the role of clean energy generation technologies in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, including solar floating projects, hydrogen, and Small Modular Reactor (SMR). Zone 2 “Stability through Realistic Energy Transition” presented innovations for stability and security of the power system. Zone 3 “Incentivizing Clean Energy Adoption through Social & Economic Mechanisms” featured the electric vehicle ecosystem, Thailand Voluntary Emission Reduction Program (T-VER), and Renewable Energy Certificate.

Moreover, EGAT participated in forums and shared experiences in several topics such as concrete clean energy transition, building Thailand’s nuclear future, SMR and Thailand’s energy transition – a safe and viable option, Thailand’s climatic mission and opportunities of the power sector, decarbonization in the industrial sector, and enhancing renewable energy with energy storage systems.
The Enlit Asia Conference and Exhibition 2025 was held during September 9-11, 2025, at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre, showcasing advanced innovation and technology in the power sector from over 350 ASEAN exhibitors together with the Nuclear Forum and Multi-Stream Summit for building the energy security and sustainability of ASEAN.
