Today the company designs and manufactures a complete measurement range: volume correctors with MEMS pressure and temperature sensing, diaphragm meters from G10 to G100, smart diaphragm meters for commercial use from G10 to G25 and for industrial use from EG40 to EG100, and thermal-mass measuring units in the ETG series. The instruments are certified to the MID and ATEX directives, comply with RED and follow OIML recommendations. They communicate over GSM and NB-IoT using CTR and DLMS/COSEM, in line with the UNI/TS 11291 series for interchangeability. More than 200,000 meters and volume correctors are installed in Italy, Romania, Turkey, Greece and Portugal.
Electronics, firmware and mechanics are all engineered in-house, by an R&D team of seven engineers working alongside the production line. That proximity between design and manufacturing is what Sacofgas now offers to other companies as a service: embedded development on connected, battery-powered devices — software, firmware and hardware, including radio integration, protocol stacks and low-power design — and DGmeter®, a cloud test platform that measures battery drain, signal strength, scheduled uplinks and downlink frames on devices under test, and returns both the raw frames and a full report.
