G3-Alliance

The G3-Alliance is a not-for-profit association driving the standardization of smart grid communication. It has around 100 international members, including utilities, semiconductor companies, and meter manufacturers. Over 100 million G3 products have been deployed globally and the Alliance operates a thorough certification program enabling seamless interoperability between devices from different manufacturers.
G3-PLC and G3-Hybrid are open ITU standards, enabling robust and cost-effective data exchange over existing powerlines (PLC) and radio (RF) in smart metering, smart grids and large scale IoT.
