GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) is a German international cooperation agency that has been active in Indonesia since 1975 and in ASEAN since 2009. On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and other federal ministries, including the BMUKN (Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety) through the International Climate Initiative (IKI), GIZ supports sustainable development through programs in energy transition, green employment, resilient nature, and green infrastructure. The GIZ office in Jakarta coordinates activities to support the Government of Indonesia and ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations).
