Natural gas offers a viable pathway to decarbonize power generation while maintaining energy security. To help harness its power, Mitsubishi Power has developed a wide array of high-performance gas power solutions

J-Series Gas Turbines

Among large-capacity models, the J-Series gas turbines are the most advanced. Incorporating air-cooled combustors, the JAC variant enhances operational flexibility by eliminating any need for steam cooling from the bottoming cycle.

Key characteristics:

  • High reliability: Global fleet has amassed 3.5 million operating hours, with industry-leading reliability.
  • High efficiency: Category-leading efficiency of approximately 64% in combined cycle.
  •  Hydrogen readiness: Can co-fire up to 30% hydrogen with minimal retrofitting, with R&D ongoing for 100% hydrogen firing

F-Series Gas Turbines

Since their initial development in 1991, Mitsubishi Power’s F-Series gas turbines have consistently demonstrated exceptional performance and continue to be enhanced with the latest material technologies.

Key characteristics:

  • High reliability: Global fleet has amassed more than 20 million operating hours, with 99% reliability.
  • High efficiency: Operates with 62% or higher efficiency in combined cycle.
  • Hydrogen-ready: Can co-fire up to 30% hydrogen with minimal retrofitting, with R&D ongoing for 100% hydrogen firing.

H-25 Gas Turbines

Mitsubishi Power’s H-25 Series gas turbines were developed for utility and industrial customers, with up to 120 MW output in combined cycle and capable of 100% ammonia firing. When achieved, this will mark the world's first commercialized gas turbine to make exclusive use of ammonia fuel on this scale.

 Key characteristics:

  • Durability: Heavy-duty structure designed for easy maintenance, seamless installation and reliable long-term operation
  • Fuel Flexibility: Able to operate with natural gas, off gas, syngas, light oil and kerosene
  • High Efficiency: Produces the highest steam supply volume in its turbine class with a co-generation efficiency of more than 80% (LHV)
