Distribution Terminal Unit (DTU)
The distribution terminal unit (DTU) is installed in distribution rooms, switchgear stations, and ring main units
below 38 kV, offering functions such as local monitoring, remote control, fault handling, and data transmission. By comprehensively monitoring the operational status of primary ring main units and distribution lines,
the DTU enables rapid fault resolution, fault isolation, fault location identification, and power restoration. In
collaboration with the distribution HES, it achieves closed-loop control, significantly enhancing the reliability
and operational efficiency of distribution systems.
Key Feature :
- Standardized design with module-level replaceability ensures safe, reliable operation and scalability, fully compliant with typical design standards.
- Platform-based hardware tailored for edge-computing architectures, featuring a cooperative real-time core and management core.
- A dedicated security chip with embedded encryption algorithms guarantees the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data exchanges.
- Low-power design: total terminal power consumption does not exceed 30 VA.
- Industrial-grade product with wide temperature tolerance, resistant to magnetic interference, shock, moisture, and lightning.
- Comprehensive interfaces: 2 Ethernet ports and multiple RS-232/485 ports, supporting mainstream communication protocols such as IEC 60870-5-101/104, IEC 61850, and DNP3.0.
