High-Efficiency Boiler Economizers for Thermal Power Plants
Usage and Application
The boiler economizer is a fundamental energy-saving pressure part located in the lower-temperature tail flue of a utility boiler. Its essential function is to recover valuable residual heat from the exhaust flue gases and use it to preheat the incoming high-pressure boiler feedwater before it enters the steam drum or water walls. By raising the feedwater temperature, the economizer drastically reduces the sensible heat required in the furnace, lowering fuel consumption and improving the overall thermal efficiency of the facility. For continuous heavy-duty operations, such as a 330MW coal-fired power plant, a highly engineered economizer is critical for maximizing the economic return of the fuel cycle.
Technical Advantages
Our boiler economizers are robustly designed to withstand the abrasive, high-velocity fly ash environments typical of solid-fuel generation. To maximize heat transfer within a compact footprint, we offer advanced extended-surface designs, including spiral finned tubes and H-type finned tubes.
The H-type finned tube economizer is particularly advantageous for coal-fired applications. Its unique geometry provides excellent anti-fouling characteristics, significantly reducing ash accumulation and minimizing flue gas flow resistance. Furthermore, our economizer coils feature heavy-duty erosion shields, optimized tube pitching to manage gas velocity, and strict metallurgical quality control, ensuring a long, leak-free operational life and extended maintenance intervals.
