TAURON Dystrybucja has undertaken extensive preparatory
work, organising detailed
competitive dialogue conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Public
Procurement Law. Market consultations with key industry
players and research institutions were held to ensure the selected HES system
meets stringent technical and regulatory requirements. The awarded contract
includes:
- Design,
development, and implementation of the Symbiot HES system
- Integration
with existing infrastructure to support 6 million smart meters.
- Provision
of licenses and documentation for the system’s operation
- Training
for TAURON Dystrybucja’s personnel
- Ongoing
maintenance and support
- Development
services for system enhancements and regulatory compliance
Project impact and expected benefits
TAURON Dystrybucja will be able to configure, manage, and
control millions of smart devices in their metering infrastructure, collecting
data from multiple sources, including electricity meters, as well as data
concentrators of PLC meters. The system enables easy and customer-friendly
configuration of any scale and deployment in various modes.
The system will improve grid visibility and reliability by
monitoring grid health with near real-time diagnostics and alerts. It allows
for quick identification and resolution of issues like power outages and
voltage fluctuations, improving operational transparency and compliance.
Improved customer satisfaction will be achieved
through real-time insights that proactively detect and resolve customer issues.
Actionable data helps customer support teams to resolve issues more quickly.

The contract awarded to the Iskraemeco underscores the
company’s long-standing expertise in AMI technologies. By providing the
innovative Symbiot HES for multi-source data collection, Iskraemeco will
support TAURON Dystrybucja in its mission to improve energy consumption
monitoring, optimize grid management, and facilitate the ongoing energy
transition.
With the agreements now in place, Iskraemeco will work
closely with TAURON Dystrybucja S.A. to tackle all stage of the project,
covering system design, implementation, integration of the remote reading
system (HES) with existing CBP (MDM).
