Gothenburg, Sweden, 23rd of January, 2025 – Eliq, a Swedish smart energy software company today announces that Volvo Cars has invested in the company, through its venture capital arm, the Volvo Cars Tech Fund.

Eliq has developed an energy data platform that helps homeowners save energy by estimating daily consumption, spotting patterns and providing personalised insights.

Following an initial incubation period, the ambition will be to make the service available to Volvo Cars customers so they can better understand their home energy usage, their energy costs and their environmental impact in an easy way.

“We are thrilled to be the first automotive manufacturer to invest in and collaborate with Eliq,” says Ann-Sofie Ekberg, CEO of Volvo Cars Tech Fund. “There has never been a greater need for smarter, more sustainable and more efficient energy systems.
