Dedicated North American Annex to ACESM GCP Strengthens Smart Meter Interoperability Across the Region
This latest edition of the ACESM GCP marks a significant
milestone in regional adaptation and international collaboration, paving the
way for broader adoption and compliance across North America. The NA Annex
introduces enhancements that either extend the existing ACESM GCP
specifications or adjust certain behaviors to reflect local market
requirements.
In addition to the 21 core use cases defined in the main
ACESM GCP, the NA Annex adds:

objects and events
- Updates
to existing use cases with additional objects
- Reclassification
of selected objects as mandatory or optional, ensuring stronger alignment
with North American regulatory and operational expectations
