Nuclear Forum
A dedicated forum for participants involved in early-stage nuclear programme development and system planning.
Nuclear energy has moved from a distant possibility to a strategic agenda for Southeast Asia’s energy sovereignty. In Indonesia, recent policy developments and signals from the national power development plan indicate that nuclear is no longer treated only as a distant option, but as a pathway that now requires institutional preparation, regulatory readiness and long-term system planning.
The 2nd Nuclear Forum brings together policymakers, regulators, utilities and industry to discuss the conditions required to move nuclear energy from policy ambition to implementation. Discussions will focus on licensing readiness, public trust, utility decision making and the role of emerging reactor technologies within Southeast Asian power systems.
The forum also explores how ASEAN countries can strengthen cooperation on safety frameworks, capability development and workforce training as interest in nuclear energy grows across the region.
