Somsak Klumklai
Somsak Klumklai is the Assistant Governor of Digital Technology at the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT). With years of experience, he has held a range of leadership roles, including Director of Digital Technology Operations, Information Technology Operations, and Information Systems Management and Development departments.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the Asian Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Kasetsart University. He is also a licensed Associate Electrical Engineer in Communications.
His current responsibilities involve overseeing digital initiatives at EGAT, including projects such as the Smart Life+ platform for core application integration, Smart Network upgrades for improved IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity enhancements through multi-factor authentication. He has also contributed to the implementation of IoT solutions in mining operations and expanded digital collaboration tools to support EGAT’s Mae Moh mining operations.
In addition to his operational role, Somsak regularly shares his expertise at forums and seminars. His work supports EGAT’s strategic goal to become a digitally advanced organisation aligned with Thailand’s broader energy transition goals.
